Thank you for sharing your story. I read it in December and was reminded of it when I was listening to one of Greg Koukl's podcasts when he read Anna's comments on air.
My wife Becky and I were expecting our first child last year. We found out the baby was a boy on Oct. 20th and were so excited. But on the 21st preterm labor started. Jackson was born at 22 weeks on Oct. 22nd, 2009. The 25 minutes we had with him while he was alive were a precious gift. It's been a tough few months. This month we celebrate our 9th wedding anniversary, but we are also reminded that his due date was on Feb 23rd. Its still very painful and we think about him everyday. But we know where he is, and we look forward to a reunion in the future.

Thank you for reminding us of God's Truth and His Faithfulness!

My timing is not God's timing and He is omniscient.

It was forty years ago that God called my own first born son to His presence. He was one year, six months and nine days old. I was not close to God in those days and the tragedy was a result of the workmanship of my own hands.

But God was gracious to this guilt-stricken and grieving father. Over time he revealed to me His faithfulness to those who would seek Him. And out of that I learned that Ronnie awaits my day to join him. Like King David, I learned that it was not for my son to return to me, but for me to go to him.

Here it is all these years later and I still grieve the physical loss, but have something much more enduring. I understand the pain that many feel at the loss of their children. I have a well of compassion to share the gifts that God has for we that experience such loss, and an eternal hope in the omnipotence of my Creator, Sustainor, Savior and God. He really does hold the keys to death and Hell in His hand. Death and the grave hold no power over God’s childreen.

I am so pleased that He is working through faithful believers like Neil and Anna to take the path of their loss and suffering and turn it into a memorial for their Caroline while giving the Almighty God all the honor and glory. I pray that “Caroline’s Legacy” will be the way to a thousand saved souls!

Praise God for His steadfastness to all of us. .

I am so sorry for your loss. I lost a baby at 19wks gestation due to congenital problems about 4 years ago. I am so glad we can take comfort knowing our children are safe with Him, where there is no pain or sorrow. May God bless and comfort you.

I would like to express our deep felt sympathies from your family in Christ at New Beginnings Church in Los Banos. Neil, you have visited in the past and touched many hearts here. I am so thankful that you and your wife are able to draw on the comfort of God at this difficult time.

Dear Neil and Anna,
Thank you so much for sharing your heart with us on this journey.
I just wanted to share a song I wrote as I was talking to God while having a miscarriage. Hope that it encourages you both and the unbelievers we are trying to reach.

In His unfailing love,
 Anita

Unborn Lazarus
(July, 2005).

Verse 1:

Today I told God, “I’ve lost child”
He took my hand and said “I’ve lost many”

Verse 2:
We sat in silence, for awhile
Him cradling my broken heart
With me clinging to His bloodied Son

Chorus:
Sometimes someone has to die
For someone else to live
Sometimes God takes away the good
To give us His best

Verse 3:
I lay there, hoping for new life
Praying for a Lazarus in my womb
But this hope, faded into dusk
Dying with the promise of new life

Verse 4:
This child’s soul, now rests with the Lord
To never know pain, nor sin
What is our love, compared to heaven
You’ll only know the perfect love of God

God bless you and your family with peace and solace.
CS Lewis wrote about 2 types of faith.
1. I have faith that nothing bad will happen because God will be there to prevent it.
2. I have faith that even if something bad DOES happen God will still be there for me.
The first type of faith is very severely shaken when "bad" (misunderstood) things occur.
The second type of faith remains in tact and is likely made even stronger as a result of having God there to help in times of distress.
